2019年8月27日下午，APDF第二個(gè)區(qū)域性國(guó)家分會(huì)在美國(guó)猶他州鹽湖城宣布成立，APDF創(chuàng)始主席何昌成專程前往美國(guó)主持了本次成立儀式，塞爾維亞前總統(tǒng)、全球一帶一路理事會(huì)理事Boris Tadic、紐約哈萊姆特社區(qū)市長(zhǎng)、聯(lián)合國(guó)親善大使、喀麥隆王母德洛伊斯·布萊克利博士、中國(guó)海洋戰(zhàn)略論壇一帶一路基金會(huì)主席劉健、國(guó)際信息發(fā)展組織主席李世恩及各國(guó)友人共同見證并出席了成立儀式。
On the afternoon of August 27, 2019, APDF's second regional country branch was announced to establish in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The founding chairman of APDF, He Changcheng, made a special trip to the United States to host the ceremony. 與此同時(shí)，IAI全球設(shè)計(jì)大獎(jiǎng)、IAI全球珠寶創(chuàng)新獎(jiǎng)（美國(guó)站）啟動(dòng)儀式也于當(dāng)日同期舉行。來(lái)自世界各國(guó)的與會(huì)重要嘉賓共同見證了這一儀式。

據(jù)悉，這是APDF自2013年在北京（中央美術(shù)學(xué)院）成立大中華區(qū)理事會(huì)之后的第二個(gè)國(guó)家級(jí)分會(huì)，未來(lái)APDF將在美國(guó)開展各種形式的設(shè)計(jì)活動(dòng)，以此促進(jìn)全球設(shè)計(jì)合作，推動(dòng)中美乃至亞洲與北美之間的在設(shè)計(jì)領(lǐng)域的民間文化交流與發(fā)展。同時(shí)，它將為中國(guó)設(shè)計(jì)走向世界，甚至引領(lǐng)未來(lái)設(shè)計(jì)可持續(xù)發(fā)展都將扮演積極的推動(dòng)作用。APDF美國(guó)分會(huì)成立儀式在聯(lián)合國(guó)非政府組織大會(huì)期間舉行，并在聯(lián)合國(guó)官員和各界權(quán)威見證下宣布成立，規(guī)格之高前所未有，APDF美國(guó)分會(huì)的成立，無(wú)疑將進(jìn)一步樹立APDF在國(guó)際設(shè)計(jì)領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威性和影響力。
